Manual, paper-based processes

Shipment entries were manual and paper-based, with a slow booking process and no automated approval workflow.

The story

Background

SD Express Link is a growing logistics and transportation enterprise handling increasing shipment volumes daily across freight, shipment booking, delivery management and fleet coordination. Before Techno Serve’s logistics software, the business ran on a basic application with manual, Excel-based workflows.

Challenge

Manual processes created bottlenecks across every department: paper-based shipment documentation, a slow booking process with no automated approvals, data scattered across Excel sheets with no centralized database, duplicate records and frequent human errors. There was no real-time tracking visibility, difficult order tracking with delayed updates, inconsistent invoicing, no analytics or reporting, guesswork-based driver and vehicle allocation, and high operational costs that limited the ability to scale.

Approach

We replaced the fragmented systems with a fully integrated, cloud-ready LogiBuddy logistics platform — a single source of truth for all operations. A centralized logistics dashboard gives management real-time oversight of shipments, bookings, fleet status, revenue, driver performance and delivery metrics, backed by dedicated modules for shipment, booking, customer, driver, vehicle and delivery management plus invoicing, billing and analytics. The platform was built with role-based access control, encrypted data storage and audit logging on a scalable, cloud-hosted architecture.
