Donations, without a rebuild

You don't need a new website to take better donations. The Donation Portal is a complete, hosted giving experience that runs on your own donate. subdomain and links straight from the site you already have — so a "Donate" button is all it takes to go live.

Behind that link is the same donations and Gift Aid engine that powers iCharityCMS: a guided flow built for how charities actually raise money — categories, programmes, country-wise rates, recurring giving and a real basket — with every donor and Gift Aid declaration syncing into the iCHARMS donor CRM.

The giving flow

Five steps from cause to completed gift.

Every step asks one clear question, so donors never face an empty amount box — guided from a cause they care about to a gift that’s ready to give.

Period

Donors choose a single gift or recurring monthly support up front, set up in the same flow — no separate subscription page.

What's inside

Everything a charity needs to take a gift.

Built for real charity giving — Islamic categories, recurring support and Gift Aid — and wired into your donor CRM from day one.

01

Guided giving flow

A clear five-step journey — period, category, programme, country and amount — that turns intent into a completed gift.

02

One-off & monthly giving

Single donations or recurring monthly support, set up in the same flow — no separate subscription plugin.

03

Islamic giving, first-class

Zakat, Sadaqah, Fitrana, Fidya, Aqeeqah and Kaffarah as their own categories, with a Sadaqah Sacrifice option.

04

Programmes & country-wise rates

Searchable appeals with recommended amounts that change by country — so a Water Hand Pump shows the right cost everywhere.

05

Multi-item donation basket

Donors add several programmes to one basket, name participants per item, and check out once.

06

Gift Aid at checkout

A built-in UK Gift Aid declaration adds 25% at no cost to the donor, captured against every eligible gift.

07

Stripe & PayPal

Take cards through Stripe and pay-with-PayPal, with anonymous giving and per-channel communication preferences.

08

Self-service donor portal

Donors sign up and log in to manage recurring giving, receipts and details — less admin for your team.

More than a donate button

A portal, not a payment box.

One stack: your website, our donations, your donor CRM

Keep the website you already have. The Donation Portal plugs into it on your own donate. subdomain, so you can launch quickly with minimal setup and no migration.

Every donation, donor and Gift Aid declaration flows two-way into iCHARMS, our donor CRM — so receipts, claims, segmentation and reporting all run from one source of truth. Your website, your donations and your Gift Aid come from one partner.
Pricing approach

Subscription, scoped to your charity.

The Donation Portal is offered on a subscription, with optional setup, branding and migration support, plus payment-gateway fees passed through at cost. Multi-portal and bespoke flows are scoped on a fixed-project basis — we agree the right model with you up front, with no figures hidden in the small print.

FAQ

Common questions.

Does the donation portal capture Gift Aid at checkout?
Yes. A Gift Aid declaration is built into the checkout flow itself, captured against the donation and synced to iCHARMS — so the claim is ready to submit to HMRC with no extra admin. Islamic donation types such as Zakat, Sadaqah and Qurbani are handled as their own funds, with Gift Aid applied only where it is eligible.
What payment methods can a charity donation portal accept?
Our donation portals accept Stripe, PayPal Giving Fund and GoCardless, plus Apple Pay and Google Pay for one-tap mobile giving and Direct Debit for recurring donations. Every donation — one-off, recurring, Zakat, Sadaqah or appeal-specific — flows straight into iCHARMS with its donor, fund and Gift Aid status, and on into Xero for accounting.
What does it mean that iCHARMS is HMRC-listed?
HMRC publishes an official list of software products approved to submit Gift Aid claims via Charities Online. iCHARMS appears on that list, which means HMRC has tested and recognised our submission format. For trustees this is a useful third-party signal of compliance and reduces risk during audits and inspections.
Can a mosque claim Gift Aid and GASDS through iCHARMS?
Yes. iCHARMS is HMRC-listed for Charities Online submission, so a masjid can claim Gift Aid on declared donations and GASDS (the Gift Aid Small Donations Scheme) on small cash and contactless collections under the threshold, with community-building eligibility tracked per site. Declarations are stored against the donor record, and claims are generated and submitted directly to HMRC.
What is Gift Aid and how does it benefit UK charities?
Gift Aid is a UK government scheme that lets registered charities reclaim 25p of basic-rate tax for every £1 donated by an eligible UK taxpayer. The donor signs a declaration, the charity records it, and HMRC repays the tax via the Charities Online service. Done properly, it can add a quarter to most fundraising income without any extra cost to the donor.
